Another of my 'Driver's Eye Views,' this time from the cab of 863 at the Scottish Gas HQ at Granton. The building visible to the left is the old Gasworks Station building, erected specifically to serve the gasworks. With the proliferation of redevelopment around the old station, it is pleasing to note that both the building and its main platform survive.

The terminus of the much truncated 32 route is now at the Scottish Gas HQ at the former Granton Gasworks, and Olympian / Alexander RH 863 (J863 TSC) is seen here with the frame of the old gasometer behind. Much of the former gasworks site has been redeveloped, and includes exclusive housing and a new state-of-the-art location for Telford College. The previous college site in Crewe Road North has itself recently been razed for redevelopment.Previous | NextTrident 593 (X593 USC) at Riccarton Campus.
