Ex-MoD Wadham-Stringer - bodied Dennis (Javelin?) NXX 451 at SVBM, on Park-and-Ride duties for Knockhill Race Circuit

Rennies provided three coaches as exhibits at the May 2006 Vintage Running Day at the SVBM. BX04 NCD, a Mercedez-Benz Touro, was the first of these.

The second was BMC Probus 850, SN05 FCX...

...while the third, and most unusual, was BX06 NZV, one of two Polish-built, C70F-seated Autosan Eagle A1012T coaches delivered in late March for Schools contracts. the presence of all three vehicles was very much appreciated.

Rennies use a lot of dateless Irish registrations on their vehicles, and as they are often swapped around, it can make identifying a particular bus a wee bit awkward for the average bus chaser. CCZ 5837 is a Jonckheere bodied Volvo B10M.

GDZ 3363, on the left, is a Volvo B10M with the popular VanHool Alizee body. On the right is a Dennis Javelin with Salvador Caetano S320 body. THis boasts 70 seats, thanks to a '3+2' arrangement, and is a development of the Wadham Stringer body already seen on NNX 451, for MoD use. The development costs of this model were instrumental in the demise of Wadham Stringer (or 'WS Coachbuilders' as it became known) which led to its being bought out by Salvador Caetano.

Rennies maintains a fleet of older double deck buses for schools services, such as these ex- London Leyland Titans.

Another ex-MoD Dennis Javelin, with an earlier version of the Wadham Stringer Vanguard body is 439BUS.
